Vin Diesel welcomed in true Indian style

The actor is in India for the exclusive premiere of his film xXx: Return of Xander Cage

Vin Diesel landed in Mumbai this morning to a grand welcome in true Maharashtrian style, complete with dhol and tilak. He is on a packed schedule in India to promote his upcoming film xXx: Return of Xander Cage, releasing exclusively in India this Friday.

He was accompanied by director DJ Caruso and co-star Deepika Padukone, who is making her Hollywood debut with xXx. He seemed pleasantly surprised with the rousing reception when he stepped out of Kalina airport. Women dressed in red sarees and yellow turbans were waiting to receive him. What followed was dhol and tilak ceremony, a tradition practiced in Maharashtra.
After meeting the press and fans, he will be moving for the premiere of the film at Phoenix Courtyard at PVR Cinemas.
