It was a fun-filled happy morning with sound of innocent laughter of kids reverberating through the walls of the Ibn Battuta branch of kids restaurant Chuck E Cheese.
Following the chain's 'Donate a Book' charity run under 'Summer Season For Giving' and the earlier drive for toys and clothes, Chuck E Cheese wrapped up its campaign by welcoming the children from special care centre Senses to their Ibn Battuta branch. It collected over 1,000 items in the form of toys and books in donations.
It was a treat to see children from special care centre Senses, laughing, playing, getting face-painting done, enjoying songs and dance with the mascots and a good, hearty meal.
The event was held in partnership with Emirati figure Khulood Al Maleh and lifestyle company Skinny Genie. Al Maleh was seen interacting, enjoying an d playing with the kids at the family entertainment centre.
To end the outing on a sweet note, Skinny Genie provided the little ones with handmade, gluten-free low fat muffins in unique and nutritional flavors.
The events come as the closing chapter of the brand's summer charity campaign, 'Summer Season for Giving' during which Chuck E Cheese collected donations in the form of toys, clothes and books from June to September 2016. Non-profit humanitarian organisation Emirates Red Crescent will be distributing the items received by the community, which have reached over 1,000 items.
"We are delighted with the support the Dubai community has shown throughout the course of the charity drives and to have ended the campaign with such lovely, heartwarming events for the children of Senses!" said Durga Raghunath - Events & Sales Manager at Chuck E Cheese UAE.
"The founding core of Chuck E Cheese is to sow seeds of compassion and encourage kindness in little ones, and we are proud to have once more achieved these goals this summer," Raghunathan said.
