Abu Dhabi hospitals to follow new work hours

ABU DHABI — Shaikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) has rescheduled the working hours for all health facilities in the capital that operate under the General Authority for Health Services of the emirate of Abu Dhabi (GAHS) during the holy month of Ramadan to meet the needs of patients.

The SKMC administration stressed that health employees should work six hours per day either during morning shift or night shift, complying with its schedule to provide high quality services to all patients.

As per the new time-table, the Outpatient Specialty Clinics which are located next to Shaikh Khalifa Surgical and Medical Pavilions will be open from 8.30am to 2.30pm while the Infusion Centre, Hematology, Anticoagulant and Oncology Clinics will operate from 8.30am to 2.30pm.

The Outpatient Specialty Clinics Building, Dialysis Unit, will provide services to the public starting from 7am to 11.30pm while the Outpatient Specialty Clinics Building, Al Nahyan MCH, which is close to the Preventive Medicine Department, will operate during Ramadan from 8am to 2pm.

The Ramadan time-table set by the SKMC for Primary Health Care centres has also been changed.

Al Rowda PHC centre at Al Karama Street will operate round the clock seven days a week while Al Bateen PHC centre which is located opposite to the Modern School will offer medical services to the public from 8.30am to 2.30pm and from 7.30pm to 1.30am for seven days.

Al Khaleej PHC centre at Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street will remain open from 8.30am to 2.30pm and from 7.30pm to 1.30am.

Al Manhal PHC centre, which is opposite to Zayed City will operate during the holy month of Ramadan from 8.30am to 2.30pm and from 7.30pm to1.30am and Al Zafaranah PHC centre, at Al Zafra Street near the Police Academy will operate from 8.30am to 2.30pm and from 7.30pm to 1.30am.

Al Madina PHC centre near the New Medical Centre will work seven days a week from 8.30am to 2.30pm and from 7.30pm to 1.30am while Al Mushrif PHC centre at the Airport Road near Al Nahda School will be open from 8.30am to 11.30am and from 7.30pm until 10.30pm.

Al Ettihad Clinic which is located near the Ministry of Information and Al Etihad newspaper office will work during Ramadan from 8.30am to 11.30am and from 7.30pm to 10.30pm and Abu Dhabi Dental Centre near the New Medical Centre in Zayed City will provide services to the public from 8am to 3pm and from 7.30pm to 00.30am (30 minutes past midnight)

The Preventive Medicine Department, next to Shaikh Khalifa Surgical and Medical Pavilion, will process health transactions and provide medical services to the public from 8am to 2pm.

Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Laboratory and Blood Donations which is located at Al Manhal Street-Khaldia area will operate on Saturday from 8am to 1pm and from 8pm to 12 midnight.

It will also work on Sunday till Thursday from 8am to 2pm and from 8pm to 12midnight.

However, the Blood Supply Section will operate 24 hours a day.

The Abu Dhabi Rehabilitation Centre, near SKMC, will remain open from 8am to 2pm, and the Behavioural Sciences Pavilion which is close to Shaikh Khalifa Medical and Surgical Pavilions will work from 8am to 2pm while visiting times were fixed from 8am to 10pm.
