The new website includes 2693 poetry books consisting of 2890301 verses that form 138641 poems.

The encyclopedia includes 1081 reference books of Arab’s heritage in science, literature and history, in addition to ten dictionaries.

The massive volume of poetry information and verses available makes it the biggest Arab culture website so far.

The launch of the website of this huge encyclopedia comes after more than 12 years since the first version was created (1997) by a large number of specialist and experts.

The encyclopedia comes in line with ADACH strategy to support Arab culture, of old and modern times.

The encyclopedia seeks to promote relevant material to Arab culture and make them available for widest audience, especially researchers in poetry. The new website is considered as another step on the way for the UAE capital to be devoted to its role as an international cultural center in the Arab region and the world.

The website meets the rapid developments in communications technology as well as the publishing industry as they head further to electronic publishing.

The encyclopedia is a reference and a key source for people interested, not only in Arabic poetry, but also in Arab heritage in its all forms. It contains hundreds of reference books; some are not available even in printed form.

The website is designed using the latest technical standards that would make the process of browsing fun and useful at the same time.

It was carefully prepared not to be just an archival site, but offers interactive services; each reader can create his own preferences within the website and interact with curators and add their impressions and other types of interactive services.
