SHARJAH - Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, a co-founder of Musafir.com has commenced his 3-week journey to climb Amercias’ highest mountain to raise funds for “Reach Out To Asia”, or ROTA, charity.
Three other climbers, from Dubai, Kuwait and Palestine, are accompanying Al Thani on the journey which started on January 16th.
Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the Americas at 6,962 m (22,841 ft). It is located in the Andes mountain range, in the Argentine province of Mendoza.
The aim is, according to Al Thani, “to send a message to the youth that they have to persist and reach their goals.
Proceedings from the journey go to ROTA, a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in November 2005 to provide to provide those in need with quality education.
