Mohammed Akram Farooqi, acting PPP president for the UAE, said Benazir would fly on an Emirates airline flight from Dubai to Karachi at 10am on Thursday.

“We will escort her from her home to the airport in a convoy so as to ensure her safety,” he said.

Farooqi said that a group of 25 party leaders will accompany Benazir on her return.

Meanwhile, Benazir will address a Press conference at the Murooj Rotana Hotel in Dubai today. Farooqi said she was likely to talk about her ongoing talks with the Pakistan government.

“She is also likely to talk about why she has taken the decision to return to Pakistan, and why she was being asked to put off the journey,” he added.
