Safeya Mohamed, school principal, said the students whose class had caught fire were shifted to another classroom where they continued the lessons.

Dr Mughir Al Khaili, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council, Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Director of the Abu Dhabi Educational Zone, and Samia Abdul Raouf Al Awar, Director of the Engineering Projects at the Municipality Department, visited the school to check the damage caused by the fire.

Authorities suspect the fire was caused by a short circuit .
