Commemorative coin to mark 50th anniversary of ‘formal education’ in UAE

ABU DHABI — The Central Bank will be issuing tomorrow a commemorative one-dirham coin to mark the 50th anniversary of “formal education in the UAE”.

The coin — 24mm in diameter and weighing 6.4 grams — is an alloy of 75 per cent copper and 25 per cent nickel. The face of the dirham remains unchanged while the obverse depicts the logo of the occasion.
