Conference on scientific signs in Quran tomorrow

About 50 scientific researches will be presented during the three-day conference, which is organised by the Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA) in collaboration with the International Commission on Scientific Signs in Quran and Sunnah, and under the patronage of General Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence.

This was announced yesterday by Ibrahim Bu Melha, Deputy Chairman of the Dubai Justice, Dubai Attorney-General and DIHQA Chairman, at a Press conference. Also present at the conference was Dr Shaikh Abdullah Al Muslih, Secretary-Genral of International Commission on Scientific Signs in Quran and Sunnah.

Mr Bu Melha said: “The international conference will cover various issues pertaining to the scientific signs in the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah. The DIHQA has taken several steps in preparations for the conference and will provide the adequate services for ensuring its success,” he pointed out.

Shedding light on the plans of the DIHQA, he explained that the award will become an Islamic institutions that will organise and launch Islamic activities in the UAE and abroad, adding that organising the conference comes in line with the new plans of the DIHQA, which also include establishing an Islamic research centre for highlighting issues of Islamic relevance. As for the participation of UAE nationals in the conference, Mr Bu Melha said that the volume of participants in the conference is pretty good, expecting that the conference would attract more participations from the UAE and abroad in the next year.

Praising the efforts of General Sheikh Mohammed, Dr Shaikh Al Muslih said that more than 150 scientists and researches from all around the world will take part in the conference.

“The commission’s scientific committees selected 80 out of 250 researches that were presented to the commission.

The conference is of a great importance since it focuses on the scientific side of the Holy Quran and this would certainly contribute in making the world and Western scientists understand the scientific value of the Holy Quran, Mr Al Muslih noted.
