DUBAI — A corporate clinic is a cure for hospital rush, long wait and delays, according to Advet Bhambani, Chief Executive Officer, Jebel Ali Hospital. “Employees may end up spending the whole day in government hospitals as they tend to be busier, therefore, we came up with the concept of corporate clinics to save time,” he said.

Speaking to Khaleej Times, Bhambani said, “We adjusted the needs of corporate clients to suit them. One concern of the companies is productivity, therefore concept clinics such as corporate clinics fit in perfectly.”

Bhambani said that the clinic was complete with the required infrastructure“ Regular patients are not allowed in this clinic which means a shorter waiting period for employees,” he added.

Over 100 companies are registered with the hospital. “These include both exclusive and non-exclusive deals which would mean that the employee can avail of any treatment listed in his company card,” said Bhambani.

“Though it is a purely out-patient clinic, we shift any kind of emergencies to the main clinic for treatment,” he says, adding that daily 100-150 patients visited the clinic.

Among the services offered by the Jebel Ali Hospital Corporate Clinic are: pre-employment check-ups for staff, senior executives and offshore employees, emergency and ambulance services for all types of industrial accidents, free seminars and regular health days to educate staff about key health issues and raise general health awareness and on-site medical services.

“The clinic is basically a dedicated facility established to address the healthcare needs of small, medium and large companies in the Jebel Ali area,” explained Bhambani.

“This also means that our corporate clients are provided with a one-stop solution to ensure that their valued personnel have convenient access to the best, and most cost-effective medical treatment,” he adds.

With the success of the concept, Jebel Ali Hospital has launched its second such clinic in Bur Dubai. “This will be a chain of clinics known as Life Line corporate clinics which will be opened up throughout the country soon,” he added.
