Dar Al Ber spent Dh1.3b for the poor worldwide

In the last 37 years, the Dubai-based Dar Al Ber Society (DABS) has spent Dh1.3 billion in the UAE and across the globe for relief projects and charity.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber, on Monday told Khaleej Times that the leading charity association, based in Dubai, spares no effort to assist whoever in need for help in the world.
Official figures show that 24,843 new mosques have been built against Dh984million since the society's inception in 1979.
It has also run 74,568 water aid projects valued at Dh152.81million providing pure drinking water to deprived areas all over the world.
The society has further carried out 18,182 relief projects at disaster-hit and war-torn areas, Bin Zayed said, adding that "these life-saving projects stood at Dh93.78 million."
In the last four decades, the society has run 4,218 charity endowment projects against Dh44.94 million, he added.
 "All these charity projects and programmes are meant to support whoever in need for help wherever they are."
