DUBAI - A new project, linking the Department of Naturalisation and Residency Dubai (DNRD) and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), through a shared database, which will see medical test records transferred to the DNRD offices is underway.
Officials from the DNRD and DHA met to discuss the final stages of the data interchange system, which will electronically link the two government entities.
This project will help prevent legal violations and falsification of official documents, said (DNRD) officials. It is also one of many new DNRD initiatives which apply innovations in technology and the internet to issues of immigration and border security management.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the e-system mechanism and the process of information transfer from the health centre to DNRD. They also examined possible improvements to boost efficiency in the system. Presiding over the meeting was Brigadier Obaid Bin Mheir in Suroor, Deputy Director, DNRD, and senior officials from the DNRD and DHA.
“This shift to an electronic system is a vital step towards developing a comprehensive database of health records for each individual. This new initiative is in line with DNRD’s goals to provide better quality services and increase efficiency and convenience for customers,” said Bridagier Obaid.
