Drawing contest for children with special needs begins today

Held under the patronage of Emirates Post, the competition aims at releasing further humanitarian initiatives that call for enhancing peace and love throughout the world, besides highlighting the civilisational attitude and pioneering humanitarian role played by the UAE on the international arena. The competition also means to highlight the support extended by the UAE to needy people everywhere and its concern to provide special needs children with generous life.

Sponsored and supported by Emirates Post, the Emirates International Restaurants "Chili's" and Al Rawabi Dairy Company, the contest also aims at publicising the views of UAE children, their refusal of the wars and miseries and their demand to stop the wars that exhaust the potentials of societies, impede their growth and render thousands dead and disabled.

The organising committee of the competition pointed out that the competition's activities will continue until the first week of May, and the results and names of winners will be announced in the third week of the month.

Over 22 centres for special needs people along with government centres participated in last year's competition, which had succeeded in demonstrating its goals and implications.

Children who qualify for the first three positions will obtain valuable prizes and certificates of appreciation. The organising committee will also issue a documentary booklet especially about the competition, containing the finest hundred drawings. The booklet will be distributed among concerned centres and departments within and outside of the UAE.
