Dubai Police rescued 151 children from vehicles, houses, and elevators till September this year, with some of them saved minutes before getting suffocated.
Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Ali Bishoh, head of the land rescue department at the General Department of Transport and Rescue said that such incidents occur due to the negligence of parents.
About 75 children locked in cars were rescued after parents were unable to unlock their cars, Emarat Al Youm reported.
"When children discover they are trapped inside the vehicle, they panic which further risks their lives," Bishoh said.
Most of the cases have been reported at the gates of parks or malls where parents rush to get to their destination without paying attention to their children.
