DUPHAT Conference & Exhibition begins Sunday

DUBAI — Under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority, the 19th edition of the Dubai International Pharmaceuticals & Technologies Conference and Exhibition – (DUPHAT) will begin on the 10th of March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

DUPHAT is the largest pharmaceuticals and technologies event in the Middle East, which was launched in 1995 by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Org. Est., in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority with an aim to provide high quality conference and exhibition serving the pharmaceutical field in the region.

The Pharmaceutical sector in Dubai is valued as one of the most developed markets largely due to the excellent healthcare infrastructure that the Emirate of Dubai and the UAE in general enjoy. Moreover, the level and quality of pharmaceutical services presented by the Dubai Health Authority are excellent especially through the application of the automated pharmaceutical system which had a positive impact on the level and quality of services provided in this area by reducing medical errors, reducing waiting time for patients, providing doctors with comprehensive information, formulating a data base for patients, drug prescriptions in general, in addition to improving the performance and productivity of pharmacists, facilitating drug pricing, the shortage of drugs and drug consumption.

DUPHAT conference and exhibition plays a significant role in terms of increasing the investments in Dubai and also in attracting foreign investments to Dubai, in addition to attracting experts and pharmaceuticals from all over the world to come and participate in this outstanding event. DUPHAT has also managed to achieve tremendous success and has become a global forum where all pharmacists come to learn from the experts and gain credit hours in addition to interacting with their peers from all over the globe and exchange expertise and knowledge.

This year, the DUPHAT conference will host more than 20 scientific sessions and 30 workshops delivered by 70 speakers and specialists including deans, university professors, consultants, and seniors from prestigious pharmaceutical associations that will cover a variety of specialized pharmaceutical topics.

The topics to be covered during the three days conference will touch upon all pressing the issues in the pharmaceutical field such as: Advancing scope of pharmacy practice, new implications in pharmacy practice, medication adherence and patient education, pharmacy practice and education , medication safety, role of public health, new drugs and technology, new tools, perspectives, medication management and policy implications for pharmacy.

More than 12 international prestigious associations support DUPHAT including: American Society of Health System Pharmacists, European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences, European Society of Oncology Pharmacy, European Society of Clinical Pharmacy, Canadian Pharmacists Association, Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology, International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, The Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia, Universiteit Utrecht - The Netherlands, Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, Riyadh College and Index Health management

The DUPHAT conference and exhibition is classified as one of the largest events dedicated to the pharmaceutical field and related technologies, as it is approved and accredited by the Dubai Health Authority in addition to a number of international scientific organizations specialized in this field. The exhibition will host more than 350 international manufacturers, distributors and pharmaceutical companies from over 73 countries. Exhibiting companies will showcase their latest products and concepts from the pharmaceutical industry to attract visitors from different parts of the world including Middle East, Indian Sub –Continent and North African Region.

Now in its 19^th Year, DUPHAT again promises to provide new opportunities, knowledge and long lasting business relationships that have become a symbol of the events continuing success. Organizers are expecting to welcome more than 15,000 visitors and participants.
