ABU DHABI — Etisalat-BT Innovation Center (EBTIC), established by Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research (KUSTAR), Etisalat and BT, hosted its quarterly senior management board meeting.

The board members reviewed the progress of EBTIC operations. The board meeting was followed by an innovation showcase in which results of EBTIC research and innovation activities were demonstrated to a number of Etisalat’s senior directors and managers. Dr Mohammed Al Mualla, Interim Provost of KUSTAR and EBTIC Board Member said: “EBTIC was founded as a direct realisation of KUSTAR’s mission as an institution that drives research in the region. Through collaboration with universities, industry and governmental organisations, EBTIC is expected to become one of the most influential driving forces for innovation in the field of Next Generation Networks (NGN) enabled ICT applications and services, both within the Middle East region and beyond.” james@khaleejtimes.com
