He explained: "Etisalat’s eShop, www.e4me.ae, allows customers to create a user ID and transact on all their Etisalat accounts from their PC. Topping-up credit on a ‘Wasel’ account through this web site will get the customer 10 per cent extra for free. Bills for postpaid accounts can also be paid through this portal."

He added: "Customers can use various bank channels to transact on their Etisalat accounts. Using a bank channel to recharge Wasel will get the customer 10 per cent extra credit for free."

Customers can use the ATM, contact centres or IVR, SMS banking, or visit the bank counters, depending on the channels made available to the customers by each bank. These facilities are currently offered at Citibank, Mashreqbank, Habib Bank, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Dubai Islamic Bank and Emirates Bank, with many other banks waiting to sign up to the service.
