DUBAI — A fire broke out in the generators room of the Dubai Islamic Bank yesterday.
No casualty or damage to property was reported.
Employees of the bank used fire extinguishers to contain the blaze.
A short circuit caused the fire, said the Civil Defence report.
A total of 256 fire accidents took place in Dubai over the past six months, said a report released by the Civil Defence Department.
Of the total number of accidents, 13 were termed massive, 23 moderate and 220 minor, the report said, adding that on an average 23 fire accidents take place every month.
