FTI sets up recordable disc plant

RAS AL KHAIMAH — Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, will inaugurate the recordable disc plant set up by Falcon Technologies International (FTI) in Ras Al Khaimah on November 13.

The new hi-tech plant is built inside the PrimusTech Industrial Park being set up in Ras Al Khaimah with Swiss partnership and management, Adel Michael, CEO of Falcon Technologies International, announced here.

Falcon Technologies International is engaged in the development, production and commercialisation of high-quality optical digital data storage media (DVD+/-R) and other future formats. The FTI’s activities are expected to attract several high-tech industrial projects and many other manufacturing plants are due to be built in its proximity in the next few years.

Several international business and technical delegations led by high-ranked personalities from Europe and Japan will participate in the inaugural event, which would be attended by the Swiss and Japanese ambassadors to the UAE.
