Global Village closed for today as heavy rain hits UAE

The decision was made after consultations with the Civil Defense and Dubai Police, and in accordance with the National Center of Weather Forecast.

Global Village and the respective authorities have taken this decision to ensure the safety of visitors and exhibitors working at Global Village, a statement said. The Global Village management will continue to closely monitor the weather conditions as well as the reports from the relevant authorities, the statement added.

The park is closed only for today, and said any announcement about further closures would be made in due course after consultations with relevant authorities.
