The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai (DIACA) celebrated the Isra Wal Miraj religious occasion after the Maghrib prayers.
According to a senior official, the department held a ceremony at the Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum Masjid, Zaabel 1 area in Dubai, on Tuesday.
“The ceremony is a good chance to remind Muslims across the country of the great occasion to learn whatever possible lessons inspire ourselves, and renew our commitment and dedication to the teachings of Islam,” said Ibrahim Al Mansuri, Head of the Preaching Section-DIACA.
Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, Head of the Counseling Section, said the programme consisted of four parts, starting with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Sheikh Abdullah Ahmed. Al Mansuri then gave a speech on the blessed occasion, followed by a preaching billed ‘Glimpses from the Isra and Miraj journey’ by Sheikh Othman Omar. Finally, Sheikh Ahmed Al Ahdal talked about further lessons to be learnt.
