King Letsie III and Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso of Lesotho, along with a delegation, met and interacted with Indian businessmen at Crystal Lounge at the Indian Club in Oud Metha on Friday evening.

“The question that I usually encounter while addressing audiences such as this one is: Why Lesotho?,” said the king, before he outlined the benefits of investing in Lesotho, including the English-speaking, literate workforce, competitive wage rates, and tax incentives.

An agenda of the evening seemed to be the promotion of the Lesotho Naional Development Corporation. Also in attendance were the Indian Ambassador to UAE, M. K. Lokesh, who along with other Indian businessman based in the UAE, was a part of the dinner.

The visiting delegation comprised Minister of Foreign Affairs and International relations M. K. Tsekoa, principal secretary for foreign affairs and international relations J.T. Metsing, ambassador of Lesotho to Kuwait T. Khasipe, chief of protocol M. Leteka, CEO of Lesotho National Development Corporation (LNDC) Joshua Setipa, director of political affairs, Africa and the Middle East T. Lehloenya, director of Investment Promotion at the Lesotho National Development Corporation Mohhethi Shelile and the first secretary (also the spouse of Ambassador) at Lesotho Embassy in Kuwait Matebello Khasipe.

The King and Queen on Saturday found time away from their official engagements to visit the Dubai World Cup races at Meydan Racecourse on Saturday. They leave for Kuwait on April 2.
