Training Solutions was established by the DTCM in January 2001 to offer courses to individuals interested in enhancing their skills and tourism industry knowledge.

Starting on August 22, the nine-day programme is being conducted at the state-of-the-art Dubai Cruise Terminal. This is the fourth course this year. The DTCM organised another Tour Guide course which attracted 24 participants from the UAE, India, Ukraine, Germany, Czech Republic, the UK, Finland, the Phillippines, France, Russia, Canada and Sri Lanka.

The DTCM Director Operations and Marketing, Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, said: “These are very informative courses, open to anyone having keen interest in becoming tour guides in Dubai. The participants are provided information that enhances their knowledge about Dubai’s geography, history, culture and heritage, economy and key organisations, local regulations and places of interest in addition to the tourism contribution to the economy.”

DTCM Director Tourism Affairs, Gary Mason; DTCM Manager Training and Development, Lisa Steel; and Senior Trainer Training Solutions, Michelle Sabti, are conducting the courses.
