The artist, Fawaz Zamrik, is not new to the art lovers in the UAE, although this time he brings a wonderful new collection of both statuettes and vases.

Although his works may seem quite varied at first sight, Zamrik shows a style consistency, which is both rigorous and passionate, whether it is a moulded ceramic bowl or a sculpted terracotta miniature chair.

One motif that most of the artist’s pieces has in common is the female form. Either as a statuette by itself, or incorporated abstractly on vases, using in-relief methods or thin line drawings, reminding of ancient cave paintings, the female is always presented in a dream-like manner, almost sorrowful. Despite Zamrik’s rigid and robust style, his masked or unmasked ladies never loose their grace.
