DUBAI - Taking forward the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Mohammed bin Rashid Media College was launched yesterday, aiming to develop a new generation of professionals capable of assuming leadership roles in the media for promoting responsible communications.

Established in cooperation with the Annenberg School of Communication of the University of South California (USC), the Mohammed bin Rashid Media College will be located within the American University of Dubai campus and receive students for the September 2008 intake.

The college will provide the highest quality of education through offering specialised undergraduate degree programmes incorporating broad-based classroom learning as well as incisive field experience.

Upon the completion of the programme, students will receive a Bachelor of Media Arts in their chosen area of study.

The college will also offer attractive scholarships to Emirati and Arab students.
