The UAE diplomats martyred in Afghanistan's heinous blast have set a new chapter in the country's shiny record, giving an exemplary role model for all generations to follow.
With these words, Ali Abdurrahman, brother of the UAE diplomat Ahmed Abdurrahman Ahmed Al Tunaiji who was martyred in the Kandahar terrorist attack, described the martyrdom of the five diplomats killed in the offensive.
Abdurrahman said though he was shocked with the sad news about the death of his elder brother, he was so proud and happy about his final moments as he was killed while working for humanity.
"The martyrdom of my brother is a source of eternal honour and dignity to all family members as he was busy offering help to the brotherly people of Afghanistan."
Al Tunaiji, born in 1972, is married and has an 18-year-old special needs daughter and 16-year-old son. "Dedicated to philanthropic works, he was so keen to impart the love of the nation in all family members' hearts since their early childhood."
Adding, he said the martyr was overseeing the digging of a water well at his own expenses in Afghanistan for the indigent people there. "He has contributed a mosque there as well."
The martyr was widely known for his good manners, humility, and kindness, he elaborated. "He spared no effort to bring happiness to everybody around, particularly his parents whom he used to show obedience."
These are apart from his commitment and dedication to charitable and humanitarian works, Abdurrahman pointed out. "He is the martyr of charity and humanity."
Indicating, he said he felt extreme pride from the very first moment he heard the news of his brother's martyrdom. "My brother has added a new chapter to the shiny record of the UAE martyrs."
The 'martyrs of humanity' is a new record set by the UAE sincere sons who show complete loyalty to the prudent leadership, he said.
"We are all children of the UAE, standing as one man behind our leadership, and are more than ready to sacrifice our soul and blood for the sake of this great nation that deserves more than our soul and blood."
Abdurrahman Al Tunaiji, father of the martyr, said he is so proud of his son who sacrificed his soul and blood for his nation which deserves all kinds of sacrifice. "All my children are ready to sacrifice themselves for the country defending its security and stability."
Such coward crimes shall never deter the sincere work for the nation to pay part of the debt to the beloved country, he added. "It is also out duty to support peace, security and stability in the entire world under the umbrella of our prudent leadership."
"The 'black terrorism' can never stop the deeply-rooted UAE charity procession which is inherited from our forefathers over a long time that it has become part of the culture here founded by the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan."
The martyrdom of the UAE diplomats honourable died while giving for charity as part of the UAE charity programme, he underlined. "Though I am so sad for losing my son, but I am so proud of his white hands, and is his mother who said 'To Allah we belong, and to him is our return' when told of her dear son's martyrdom."
