DUBAI — Emirates Post has introduced a new set of definitive stamps in denominations of Dh1, 150 fils, Dh2, Dh3, 350 fils, Dh4 and Dh5, with a stylised design that features the word ‘Emirates’ in Arabic calligraphy in the shape of a falcon.
The stamps are available in all post offices and customers have the choice of using the old or the new definitive stamps.
Abdulla Al Daboos, Director-General of Emirates Post, said: “Definitive stamps are the mirrors of a country’s culture and heritage, as they are seen on almost every piece of mail. It is, therefore, important to design these stamps with care and a great deal of thought.
Along with the stamps, Emirates Post has issued special First Day Covers of Dh21 each. These are available at Dubai Central Post Office Karama, Deira Main Post Office and Abu Dhabi Central Post Office.
