DUBAI — Dubai Municipality has organised a three-day special training course for its staff on "Health and Occupational Safety".
The training course, which is set to commence on September 3, is being conducted as part of the ongoing internal training programme of the civic body for the current year.
Ahmed Ibrahim Al Zarouni, Acting Head of Human Resources Development Section in the Personnel Department, said the course is being attended by a group of employees from the departments of Dubai Central Laboratory and the Public Health.
He said the course is designed for technicians and professionals working in laboratories, sewage water treatment plants and the Central Laboratory who deal with hazardous materials.
The second training course of the week called, "Dubai Government Standards for Performance Excellence" would begin on September 3 and run till September 7.
It would be attended by group heads of units and administrative officers in the municipality, he pointed out.
Al Zarouni said another course called "Six Thinking Hats" will be held from September 4.
This course would be attended by a group of heads of sections and units in the municipality.
He said the fourth course of the week called "Food Safety" will he organised from September 4.
The course would be attended by a group of public health employees.
The fifth course of the week called "Preparation of Effective Reports" would be organised between September 4 and 7 and would be attended by a group of employees from Public Parks and Horticulture Department and a group of fresh graduates.
