DUBAI — The way a man, or a woman, moves, smiles, talks, sits or even blinks tells a lot about the person; and being able to read these vital body signs can often make the difference between cracking a crime or letting it slip through. Body language speaks volumes and learning to decipher it has been honed to a fine art. Recently 20 police officers underwent an intensive two-day in the art of reading body signals.
“The results have been positive,” said Brigadier Pilot Ahmad Mohammed bin Thani, Director of the General Department of Airport Security, Dubai Police.
Stressing the importance of being able to read body language correctly in combating crime, he said that understanding and being able to quickly analyse signs and behaviour enable one to have a control over them and often go a long way detecting crime, and in some cases even stopping it.
