DUBAI — Arabic curriculum will be a priority at the upcoming American Academy for Girls School in Mizhar, Dubai, disclosed school principal Delice Scotto at her first in a series of parents' coffee mornings held last Wednesday. The event highlighted to mothers the benefits of sending their daughters to a single-gender, multicultural educational environment.
One of the primary topics discussed during the meeting was the level of Arabic on offer at AAG. Delice said she recognises the importance of emphasising this area of study. “It is crucial that Arabic is a focus for our students, many of whom will be spending many years here, making their homes here and becoming active participants in the region. Gulf heritage is important and we insist that our girls' Arabic skills be superior. Therefore, the teachers we recruit are highly qualified to address this requirement.”
