Rulers offer Eid prayers, receive greetings

Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates offered Eid Al Adha prayers on Friday and later received crowd of well-wishers, who poured onto their palaces to extend Eid greetings.

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, offered Eid Al Adha prayer Friday morning at Zabeel Mosque in Dubai.

Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Deputy Ruler, Shaikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, Shaikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Authority of Culture and Arts, Shaikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Shaikh Mansour Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Shaikh Saeed Bin MOhammed Bin Rashid Al maktoum and a number of Shaikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents performed the prayer along with Shaikh Mohammed.

In his Eid sermon, Imam Shaikh Omer Al Khatib, emphasised the importance of remembering Almighty God and praising Him throughout the human life. The remembrance of God always brings peace to human hearts, and gives every individual the power to abstain from evil thoughts, the Imam said quoting verses from Holy Quran.

The Imam also stressed the virtues of offering animal sacrifice on this occasion and feeding the poor from the sacrificial meat. He also urged the believers to use the occasion to strengthen fraternity and love among them.

Closing his sermon, the Imam invoked God in earnest supplication for the health and wellbeing of the country’s leaders, prosperity of the people and peace of the world.

Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, offered Eid Al Adha prayer on Friday morning at the Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.

Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Shaikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser, Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Ruler‘s Representative, Shaikh Saeed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Shaikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Lt.General Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Presidential Aviation Authority, Shaikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Shaikh Diab Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, Shaikh Omar bin Zayed Al Nahyan,

President’s Advisor, Shaikh Dr. Sultan Bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan and Minister of Public Works, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, and a number of Sheikhs, senior civilian and military officials, Arab and foreign diplomats and a large crowd of citizens and residents joined Shaikh Mohammed Bin Zayed in the Eid Prayer.

General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received Friday morning well-wishers who called on him at Al Mushrif Palace after attending Eid Al Adha prayers.

Sharjah : His Highness Shaikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah offered Eid prayer at Al Badie prayer ground in the city of Sharjah.

Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, a number of Shaikhs, senior officials and a large gathering of worshippers including citizens and residents joined the Ruler in the prayers.

The Eid prayer and the sermon that followed were led by Shaikh Ysuf Al Hammadi.

Ajman: His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman offered Eid prayers at the Shaikh Rashid Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Mosque in the Ajman City.

Ajman Crown Prince Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, other Shaikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents offered the Eid prayers along with the Ruler.

The prayers and the sermon were led by Imam Shaikh Husain Moeen Al Housni.

Umm Al Qaiwain: His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain offered Eid prayers on Friday at the Shaikh Zayed Mosque in the emirate.

Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain, a number of Shaikhs, government officials, nationals and residents also offered Eid prayer along with the Ruler.

Scholar Shaikh Ibrahim Al Mansouri led the prayers and the Eid sermon.

Ras Al Khaimah: His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah offered Eid prayers at the Grand Musalla in Al Khazam.

Shaikh Omar Bin Saqr Al Qasimi and Chairman of Ports and Customs Department Shaikh Ahmed Bin Saqr Al Qasimi offered prayers along with the Ruler.

A number of Shaikhs, senior government officials, citizens and residents joined them in the prayers.

Shaikh Ahmed Mohammed Al Shehhi led the Eid prayers and delivered the special sermon.

Fujairah: His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah offered Eid prayers at the Grand Musalla in the city of Fujairah.

A number of Shaikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents joined the Ruler in the Eid prayers.

Imam Abdullah Al Saadi led the Eid prayers and the special sermon that followed.

Al Ain: Shaikh Saeed Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan offered Eid Al Adha prayers on Friday morning at the Eid Prayer Grounds in Zakher area in the Al Ain City. A number of Shaikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents joined him in the prayers, which was followed by a sermon given by Imam Sheikh Nasser Saeed Al Shibili.
