After testimonies from a number of adult witnesses, who confirmed to have spotted the new moon of Shawwal with their eyes - after sunset Monday evening - the Supreme Court of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced that Tuesday (June 4) is the first day of Shawwal 1440H, therefore the first day of Eid Al Fitr, the Royal Court said in a statement.

The Supreme Court congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Muslim expatriates living in the country as well as all Islamic nations all over the world on the advent of the blessed Eid Al Fitr.
