Brigadier Abdullah Ibrahim, acting director of Ajman police stations, said that a complaint was received at Al Zahra police station about the theft of seven bikes following which a police squad apprehended one of the teenagers riding a stolen bike.

During the interrogation, the accused, Mohammed K, confessed that he and his friends had decided on the break-in just for fun. The police later arrested the other boys and referred the case to the juvenile court. Brig. Ibrahim urged parents to keep a check on their children's whereabouts and to make inquiries about their peers and their activities. Summer camps were constructive avenues to engage young minds, he said.
