Shakespeare’s Richard II in Arabic

The play is produced by Ashtar Theatre from Ramallah, Palestine.

Written in 1595, Richard II is a novel revolving around power and politics in a myriad of plots and treason, depicting the fall of a ruling English family, the rise of a new one helped by the Lords of the court, a display of what it’s like to be a king, and how absolute power brings demise upon its seeker.
