STC to start bus service to RAK and Khor Fakkan
SHARJAH — The Sharjah Transport Corporation (STC) will soon be starting its bus service for Ras Al Khaimah and Khor Fakkan.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Rahma Al Shamsi, STC's Assistant Director General, said the corporation was planning in another three months to start the 30-seater bus service to RAK and Khor Fakkan.
The bus fares for these two routes have yet to be decided. STC already provides a popular bus service to Dubai, as well as Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Commenting on a recently launched service by the corporation, Shamsi said, STC had launched the call-in taxi service exclusively for women and children. "These taxis are driven by female drivers and are stationed at Sharjah International Airport. These taxis can be booked over the phone," he said.
