Thieves take away display boards from mosques
FUJAIRAH - The Eastern Region Police are on the lookout for some persons who allegedly stole six electronic boards displaying prayer timings from mosques affiliated to the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf (Endowments) in Dibba Al Hisn.
On May 13, the person in charge of the Islamic Affairs and Awqaf branch in Dibba Al Hisn lodged a complaint at the police station saying that six electronic display boards were stolen from the mosques between 1pm and 4pm.Policemen visited the mosques and inspected the walls on which the stolen boards were fixed.
The police have launched a hunt for the culprits after obtaining a warrant arrest from the Public Prosecution.
