RAS AL KHAIMAH — Scores of residents in Ras Al Khaimah have welcomed the decision taken recently by the Department of Economic Development (DED) to all holders of commercial and professional licences in the emirate which makes it compulsory for them to print prices of goods and services in Arabic and English, saying that it will save them from being cheated by some unscrupulous retailers.
Aziz Adam Mustafah, a resident of Khuzam area said it is high time the prices of goods and services stabilised in the emirate.
“Retailers and small business service-providers have been hiking prices quite frequently. Since there has been no price regulation for many products and services, very often one would be surprised to find the prices of products increased. If prices are printed and displayed on products it will benefit the consumer,” said Mustafah.
