UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) in the Gaza Strip has started to distribute Dh2 million worth of food baskets to Palestinian families affected by floods that recently swept the Palestinian territories.

During a ceremony, Emad Abu Laban, Director of the RCA, said that five thousand Palestinian families benefited from the distribution of assistance. Each basket is valued at Dh440 and in addition to basic foodstuffs also contains school bags and blankets.

He expressed his thanks to RCA, which he says always stands to help Palestinians people.

The beneficiary families expressed their happiness and thanks for the UAE’s humanitarian relief, which alleviates a lot of difficulties they are experiencing.

Dr. Zakaria Al Agha, a Member of Executive Committee of the PLO and head of the organisation’s Refugee Department expressed his thanks and appreciation to the UAE RCA for providing various and continuous support for the Palestinian people.
