Rescue operations are in full swing in flood-affected Kerala.
The state has witnessed the worst floods in recent years and evacuation of people from the affected areas is underway.
The Army, the Navy and the Air Force along with the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) are working around the clock to recuse people who are stuck as water rises to dangerous levels. 
A video shows the Indian Air Force choppers airlifting the stranded in flood-ravaged areas.
On Friday, a young lady and her new born son were successfully rescued and evacuated to Sanjivani. During the rescue, the Indian Navy said that a doctor was brought on to assess the mother's condition.

The Navy and the Air Force have been conducting several rescue operations in areas where people have been stranded due to water rising to dangerous levels.
Entire Kerala has been on a red alert since Wednesday evening. A total of 28 deaths were reported on the day.
