WATCH: Dubai-based Indian construction worker to build new life after winning Dh1million

Dubai - He will now quit his job and go back home sometime in September after getting a release from his company.

An Indian national who came to Dubai in 2012 to work in the construction industry just won Dh 1 million from a remittance centre's summer promotion. His toilsome job and meager monthly salary are now a thing of the past as he is about to build a new life for his wife and three children.  
Nanhaku Yadav, 36, from Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh, only has these in mind: "Go back home very soon, embrace his wife and kids, and start planning for their new house and small business back in his hometown."  
Speaking to Khaleej Times at the awarding ceremony for Al Ansari Rewards - Summer Promotion on Wednesday, Yadav said he never thought that his remittance of Dh1,116 (20,381 Indian rupees) to his family in India last July 31 would fulfill his dreams of a comfortable future for his family.  
Mixed emotions of joy and amazement were drawn on Yadav's face while receiving the grand prize and talking to Khaleej Times. He rarely smiled, pondering perhaps on his newfound life. But when he opened his mouth, the only words he uttered were about his family and his love for them.  
"I always sent money for my family at the end of the month - money they will use to buy food and pay for school" Yadav narrated through a translator. "Out of my monthly salary of around Dh 1,700, I deduct Dh 500 for my expenses here and send the rest to my family."  
"My family is my inspiration in life. My usual daily routine is to wake up at 5:30am, eat light breakfast then go to work. I'm a mason, I do the tiles and marble stones for villas. I go back to our accommodation at 6pm. Eat supper then sleep. I talk to my family in the morning and evening."  
Life was tougher for Yadav before coming to Dubai. He said his family had not enough to eat which forced him to find work abroad. After working hard for four years in the emirate, lady luck smiled on him, which he said can be attributed to his "good karma because he has always been a dedicated husband and father."  
He added: "I never thought to win such big amount - I even don't know how much Dh 1 million is in (Indian) rupees. After hearing the good news, I immediately called up my family and told them, with tears in my eyes: 'Don't worry, I'm coming home soon. Our life is about to change."  
Yadav said the Dh1 million will be credited to his bank account in the next few days. He will quit his job and come home sometime in September after getting a release from his company.  
The entire windfall will be sent home but he will get a little amount to buy some gifts to his wife Nirjaladevi, daughters Nidhi, 12, and Khushi, 5, and four-year old son Shubhan.  
He said he's planning to put up a general store in Ghazipur, share some money with his extended family (his brother and sister-in-law live with them) and save for the education of his children - who he wants to become doctors and engineer someday.  
For Yadav, coming to Dubai was already a dream come true. He said life was tough being a construction worker, toiling under the heat of the sun.
But soon he will be home for good.  And he said he only has good memories to bring with him as he looks forward "to building a bright and prosperous future with his family."
