The 30-year-old sales executive allegedly signed on behalf of her husband without his authorisation to get her sponsorship transferred to a telecommunication company. It is believed the forgery took place in late July this year.

The husband said that he had problems with his wife and they were seeking the help of the Family Guidance Division at the Dubai Courts.

He asked her for an amount totalling Dh 240,000 he had spent on her. “She said she did not owe me anything and that her sponsorship has been transferred after it had been on me”.

The husband checked with the Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department later and knew that the transfer application of sponsorship had his signature without his authorisation.
