South Indian companies declare holiday for Kabali's release

Dubai - The decision from the companies comes after apprehensions of mass sick leave from employees to watch the movie.

As the 'Kabali' fever grips India, many companies in Chennai and Bangalore have officially announced July 22 as holiday to let their employees catch the first show of the movie.

Companies having made such announcement include Bangalore-based Opus Waterproofing and Chennai-based Fyndus India Pvt Ltd. Some have even volunteered to provide free tickets in a bid to contain piracy.

"On account of the release of the superstar, Rajni's movie, 'Kabali', we have decided to declare holiday on July 22 2016 in efforts to avoid piled up leave requests to the HR department," reads the notice of Fyndus company.
"We also take the privileged of going extra mile to support anti-piracy by providing free tickets for the former to Fyndus employees."

 "This was an internal company circulation which was sent out on Sunday. I could feel the eagerness in my employees, so instead of dealing with mass bunks and mobile switch offs, I came up with the idea of declaring a holiday on July 22 and be a part of the celebration. It would also serve as a motivation to my employee," Manoj Pushparaj of Opus Waterproofing  told Hindustan Times
