Al Safeer Group Opens Dh200m Mall in RAK

RAS AL KHAIMAH - Sharjah based business conglomerate Al Safeer Group opened AED 200 million spectacular Safeer Mall in Ras Al Khaimah, which is the first of its kind in the emirate.

The Ras Al Khaimah outlet located at Kharan area features a major Safeer hypermarket as its flagship store and about 100 other retail outlets with restaurants, Jungle Bungle family entertainment centre and parking for 1500 cars.

This is Safeer Group’s fourth shopping and leisure outlet in the UAE.

Maintaining its core market in the UAE, Safeer Mall brand also plans to expand into many of the major markets of the Middle East. The Group’s next regional venture will be in Sohar (Oman) while in the UAE it will shortly be announcing the opening of Fujairah Century Mall.

The chief guest Ahmed Bin Amer who is the RAK Director for EIDA inaugurated the Ras Al Khaimah mall. On the opening day, more than 30,000 people visited the mall that coincides Christmas and New Year festivity.

“Although this was a ‘soft opening’ without any official ceremony, the public interest was, and continues to be, extraordinary,” said Mahesh Kalwani, Chief Operating Officer of Al Safeer Group. “It is extremely encouraging and gives an early indication that the Al Safeer Shopping mall concept will be successful in different emirates throughout the country.”

The structure blends with the country’s distinctive architecture combining the best of traditional and modern features and facilities. The Centre is fully let with all the units expected to be ready for business by January.

Among the major brands that have contracted space in Safeer Mall are Damas, Springfield, Mother Care, Face Shop, Starbucks, Nando’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, UAE Exchange, Emirates Identity Authority and News Center.
