Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways on Tuesday announced that online check-in for passengers will be temporarily unavailable. The airline is undergoing a planned systems change to its Passenger Service System which will result in some service outages while the new process is brought online.

In a statement, UAE's national carrier said that online check-in for guests travelling from global airports will be temporarily unavailable from March 4 until March 12. Online check-in for passengers travelling from Abu Dhabi will be unavailable from March 6-12.

However, travellers can still check in at the airport in person. Check-in will be open four hours before the flight departure time.

Passengers travelling between these dates are advised by the airline to check etihad.com/faqs, arrive at the airport from four hours before their flight departure and have a printed or electronic copy of their tickets available to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline apologised to its customers for inconvenience caused and informed that all flights will operate as usual, and teams are ready to help minimise any disruptions that may occur over the next few days.
