Consumers in the UAE can now buy branded luxury goods at discounts ranging from 15 per cent to 80 per cent across all products at Big Brands factory outlets.
The retail brand will launch nine new stores this year - five of which have opened and four are scheduled to open in the next two months, Prakash Bhojwani, president and chief executive officer, Time Machine Group, told Khaleej Times.
"Our basic principle in the business is to bring value to our customers while offering them quality goods. Apart from the addition of new stores, we have also entered into a seven-year lease with the Roads and Transport Authority, or RTA, to launch five stores in select Metro stations in Dubai with a footprint of up to 4,000 sq ft.
"This will offer commuters luxury brands in perfumes, sunglasses, watches, bags and accessories at attractive factory prices," said Bhojwani.
Time Machine Group, a family business house with interests in retail, distribution and trading of luxury brands, has diversified into real estate and out-of-home media. The group was established in 1975.
Big Brands is currently expanding across Dubai and Al Ain and posted 20 per cent growth in 2015.
Retail in Dubai is on par with any global market, both in the real and virtual world, according to the CEO.
"We anticipate e-commerce is set to boom in the coming years. Currently, we have 10,000 followers on our e-commerce portal. Globally, we will see more customers demanding value for money as costs remained controlled. However, customers will want high-end quality branded goods. We saw this trend coming almost five years ago," added Bhojwani.
Currently, Big Brands features more than 200 brands. The group is planning to introduce discounts on retail goods to retain its customer base in Dubai and the UAE.
The group is also planning to expand its operations in Qatar and Saudi Arabia and is involved in various business sectors in the Amesa region (Africa, Middle East and South Asia).
The business employs 35 nationalities across five divisions - properties, distribution and duty free, wholesale trading, retail and out-of-home media.
