Faber-Castell to expand its Middle East sales network

DUBAI - Faber-Castell, a leading manufacturer of writing and drawing products, has announced that the company will expand its marketing network in the Middle East to boost the brand's presence in the region.

Speaking to the Press after addressing the company's representatives from 13 countries in the region Count A W von Faber-Castell, the CEO of Faber Castell said the Middle East region has emerged a strong market for high quality writing instruments. Although the company does not have an elaborate marketing set up in the region, in countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia and the UAE, Faber Castell brand is well known. Currently, the company has manufacturing units in Brazil, Indonesia, Costa Rica and Germany.

The company sees huge demand potential for its writing instruments including pencils and markers in the preschool and school going segment. "We want to have significant presence in the education sector with graphite and coloured pencils, crayons and children's markers for children in the age group of 3 to 12 while pushing our other products in the premium segment with its aesthetically sophisticated writing instruments and accessories," Count Castell said.
