ITL Cosmos Group wins big at brand awards

ITL Cosmos Group and Dr Ram Buxani, chairman of the Group, won the 'World's Greatest Brands & Leaders 2015 - Asia and GCC' award. This is an initiative of United Research Services (URS) International and AsiaOne Magazine.
The Ambassador of India to the UAE, T.P. Seetharam, presented the award to Dr Buxani at the Indo-UAE Business Summit and Awards 2015, held recently under the theme of 'Celebrating 44, India UAE Summit'. The summit was attended by various business leaders and government officials.
The award was adjudged on the basis of research across 15 industries in Asia and GCC countries.
ITL Cosmos Group is a distributor of electronics, textiles and general consumer products in the UAE. The company has formed strategic partnerships with globally renowned names, built an efficient marketing network and adheres to uncompromising standards in quality.
"For ITL Cosmos Group, our success strategy is clear. We stick to our core business while opting for meaningful and focused change. We do not change for the sake of change. Instead, we concentrate on our existing strengths," said Dr Buxani.
The history of ITL Cosmos Group mirrors Dubai's growth as the leading commercial centre in the Middle East.
ITL (International Traders ME Ltd) was the first company in Dubai to receive a decree of incorporation from the late Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, former ruler of Dubai.
The growth of ITL Cosmos Group and Dubai has been in tandem - in developmental aspirations, success and far-sighted vision. Today, the company is part of government initiatives such as Dubai Cares, Honour Labour campaign and Green Dubai.
The company has inculcated in its people that the customer always has a choice. Its corporate social responsibility initiatives have been part of the company's long-term strategy.
In 2013, ITL Cosmos Group marked its 60th anniversary of operations in the UAE. Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, attended the celebrations.
During its 50th anniversary celebrations in 2003, the Group was honoured by Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance.
In 1978, the late Shaikh Rashid had congratulated the Group on achieving 25 years of success.
Dr Buxani is a recipient of several awards, including the 'Most Inspiring Personality' CEO Award by Arabian Business, and was ranked one of the '100 Top Most Powerful Indians in the UAE' by Arabian Business in 2012.
Recently, he was listed one of the '100 most influential Indians in the UAE' by Forbes Middle East and listed one of the '50 Richest Indians in the UAE' by Arabian Business. He was also ranked one of the 'Top Indian Leaders in the Arab World' by Forbes Middle East in 2015. He was also presented 'Business Leadership Excellence Award' by World Leadership Congress in 2013.
