Hyundai Motor Company has launched the new Tucson compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Africa and the Middle East.
Offering an athletic design, new technological features and good driving performance, the new model has been designed to set new standards for its sector and provide an alternative that ticks all the boxes for families looking for a versatile car.
Prices for the new Tucson will start from Dh72,000 in the UAE market, with the model available in GL or GLS trim levels and with a variety of specifications.
By combining competitive pricing with a model that embodies the Hyundai Motor Company's modern premium brand direction, the third generation Tucson is perfectly placed to build on the popularity of its predecessor, which was the company's third biggest-selling model across the region and the volume leader in the compact SUV segment in 2014.
Jin (James) Kim, vice-president and head of Hyundai Motor Company Africa and Middle East, said: "The compact SUV market in Africa and the Middle East is highly competitive. With the new Tucson, we are confident that we have a car that provides everything that car buyers in the class look for. It represents a bold new step forward in the history of Tucson, bringing premium levels of quality, technology and style to the customers."
Axel Dreyer, president of Hyundai in the UAE, said: "The new Tucson is a highly anticipated vehicle, with its forerunner well-established as the most popular model in the Hyundai line-up. The SUV has already won acclaim for being the best compact-sized SUV in Germany and has been the leader in its segment in the UAE with a 14 per cent market share."
The new Tucson will be available in Hyundai UAE showrooms by early September.
"We are expecting it to increase sales 17 per cent within its segment in the second half of this year. Prices range from Dh72,000 to Dh90,000. We encourage customers to head to a Hyundai showroom and book a test drive," Dreyer added.
The new model is available with 10 exterior colour options featuring two new variants.
