The recently organised blood donation camp was held to educate common people on importance of blood donation.
The event, was a platform for the hospital to educate common people on importance of blood donation and also falls in line with its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.
The event was held in collaboration with Ministry of Health & Prevention & Sharjah Blood Transfusion & Research Centre
Through its CSR activities IMH plays an important role in promoting responsive civic and social duties, such as blood donation among its employees and stakeholders which makes a positive impact on the larger community and the environment.
The event had a record 70 donations and many more had to be turned down for the next camp. IMH encouraged a lot of first timers and made them 'Heroes' for turning out to be life savers.
Dr Kishan Pakkal, chief executive officer, International Modern hospital, said: "Over the years, IMH has implemented various CSR programmes that are aimed at supporting various humanitarian causes. The recently organised blood donation camp has been organised to educate common people on importance of blood donation. Through these awareness campaign, we encourage people to donate blood on a regular basis thereby helping three times the needy patients (i.e. one unit saves three lives )."
