Children’s series Iftah Ya Simsim (Sesame Street/Open Sesame) is making its way back to our television screens in an eagerly anticipated revival.

The show that once captivated the hearts and minds of Arab children in the 80s is now back to open its doors to some new and exciting adventures with a host of new lovable puppets. The all new season is bringing back the popular local characters No’man, Melsoon, Shams and Gargur, played by Abdullah Kassem from the KSA, Emirati Asma Alshamsi, Natheer Khawaldeh from Jordan and Syrian actor Maher Mozawak. Joining the cast will be human characters, Rashid and Amal, the ambitious sibling duo in Iftah Ya Simsim as well as Saudi talent Abdulla Rafaah and Emirati artist Fatma Al Taei,

Iftah Ya Simsim was the first locally created and produced Arabic speaking version of world’s longest-running education TV series for kids, Sesame Street. The educational series is set to launch later this year.
